The Cross Of Jesus

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.” (Isaiah 55:5).

The cross is the place where the forgiveness and mercy of God flow towards humanity. At the cross we are able to enjoy the completed work of Jesus Christ for salvation of the human race. On the cross Jesus took upon Himself our sins and transgressions. He bore in His body your sickness, diseases, poverty, your shame, every lack, disease, disappointment, rejection and so much more. He did all these so that you won’t have to carry them anymore.

The cross and the blood of Jesus is a place of refuge and safety. When the devil sees the blood over your life he flees, you become untouchable. In the Book of Exodus, we see that the angel of death could not touch the Israelites, as long they anointed their doorposts with the blood of a lamb. (Exodus 12:23). If the death angel could not touch the Israelites because of the blood of animal, how much more will the Blood of Jesus avail for you!

Prayer Confession: Heavenly Father thank you for forgiving me and washing away my sins with the Blood of Jesus. The Blood has redeemed my life from death and hell. I am a partaker of the divine nature, joint heir with Christ. I am victorious over sickness and disease. I command every sickness hiding in my body to die. Every demon afflicting my body with disease flee in Jesus name! No enchantment, divination, spell or curse shall prosper over me. I am victorious over lack, failure, rejection and disappointment. I soak myself and my family in the Blood of Jesus. My life is yours Jesus, have your way in me and use me for your glory. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Reflection: "And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing]." (Rev 12:11)
