“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
Are you weary and worn out, tired of religion? Life without God, is confusing, frustrating and meaningless. This is not God’s intention for anyone, God wants us to have meaningful and fulfilling life. (John 10:10). He is a loving Father who cares deeply for us and longs to be part of our lives. But the Bible tells us we have all sinned and sin separates us from God.
Without God in our lives we are like Sheep without a shepherd, a sheep that has gone astray and vulnerable to danger. (Isaiah 53:6). With all our best efforts, to be accepted by God we still feel lost. We cannot buy forgiveness from God with good moral activities or religious deeds, no matter how much we try. Does this then mean there is no hope? No. As a matter of fact, it is Good News. Because God in His mercy as provided what is required to remove the sin barrier between us and Himself.
God loves us so much that He sent His own Son to come and rescue us from sin. God sent Jesus, His Son to die for our sin. (John 3:16). Jesus Christ the sinless one took all our sins upon Himself and died for us. He paid our punishment so that we can be set free from the judgement we deserve for our sin. And now, because of the completed work of Jesus on the Cross we can have peace with God. Through Jesus we are forgiven and can have a living relationship with God in this world and after death.
Though, Jesus Christ has made the Perfect sacrifice for everyone of us, but it is up to each person to respond. Those who ask Jesus for forgiveness of their sins are forgiving and given the power to become children of God. (John 1:12). Today, Jesus is inviting you to come and receive forgiveness and a new life. Why don’t you come now? If you are ready to receive Jesus Christ into your life, please say this prayer out loud.
Thank you Jesus for dying for my sins. Please forgive my of all my sins, I repent from sin and I now want to follow your ways. I invite you into my life as my Lord and Saviour. I receive all that your shed blood did for me on cross. Amen.
If you prayed this prayer, congratulations! You are now a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5 :17) Your sins are washed away and old things have passed away all things have become new.
