PRAISE TOOL!

Growing in Faith

17 Nov

blog-27may2013-PAUL_SILAS-2

“Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!” (Acts 16:25-27)

It does not  really need saying that,  we are generally not in a good mood when things are not going our way. Praising God is far remove from our mind because of the emotional pain or the inconveniences we are experiencing. In Acts 16, Paul and Silas found themselves locked away in prison. More-so, they were arrested for doing a good course. They were in the perfect will of God, for their lives, obediently serving and doing what God had told him to do, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News” for that, they found themselves in prison, bounded hands and feet to the prison wall and locked up in a dirty, dark, cold underground cell. In such a place, it’s so easy for our emotions to take the best part of us and rule our actions. But Paul and Silas refused to allow their circumstances to define them.

First, they knew it was not God doing this to them, they knew it was the devil trying to stop them from press into God’s will for them. Second, they knew it was not their battle and that God can penetrate any walls, break any chains, up root any foundations, they knew God is not limited by any circumstances of the world or or even in the heavens, so the brought out their PRAISE TOOL, and just praised God anyway until God showed up. They brought out the PRAISE TOOL for two particular reasons, first, they knew Praise and Worship stills and cuts the Voice of the Enemy, second, it Ushers in the presences of God into any environment and circumstances!

Whenever you make it a point of duty to praise God, whether you feel like it or not, God shows up! You experience intimacy with the Lord. When you are united in this holy intimacy of praise with your Heavenly Father – the One who created the heavens and the earth nothing is impossible!!! So today, dare the devil and the overwhelming circumstances you are facing in your life right now , lift up your hands and face towards heaven like Paul and Silas and praise God anyway until He shows up! Because the Truth of the matter is , as you do, you give God the opportunity of stepping into your situation and to begin to turn the bitter waters in your life to sweetness. Amen>

Praying for you! God bless you!
