“But Moses said, The people among whom I am are 600,000 footmen [besides all the women and children], and You have said, I will give them meat, that they may eat a whole month! 22 Shall flocks and herds be killed to suffice them? Or shall all the fish of the sea be collected to satisfy them? 23 The Lord said to Moses, Has the Lord’s hand (His ability and power) become short (thwarted and inadequate)? You shall see nowwhether My word shall come to pass for you or not.” (Numbers 11:21-23)
To Moses what he was facing was overwhelming and hopeless. As the leader of the nation of Israel, the responsibility of their well-being was on him. The situation absolutely got the best of Moses…. “ I am not able to carry all these people alone, because the burden is too heavy for me.” (Numbers 11:14) They were in the middle of the desert, scarce resources, the Israelites were murmuring and complaining, they were surrounded by enemies and neighbors who will not help them. No doubt the situation was overwhelming and agonizing for Moses.
When Moses complained, God reminded him, that He had not changed, that He still was God and His arm is not short to save and deliver!
Beloved, there are no limits to God and what He is able to do! What God expected them to do, was to walk by faith and not by sight! God wanted them to move forward by faith, trusting in Him, even when the situation looked impossible. But, because of what Moses was seeing in his imagination, the image he had about himself and the situation confronting them could not bring him into the abundant provision of God, which was already laid up for them on the other side – “in God”, which cannot be perceived by the natural mind. (Look at what God did for them in verse 31, He abundantly provided for them!!)
How do we walk by faith and not by sight? How do we change what we see to match and connect with what God has already made available for us?
You do this by spending time thinking on the promises God has provided for you in His Word. By meditating on them. By believing you receive those promises. And by changing your image or the picture you have in your imagination. For example, if you are in need financially, change seeing yourself as the one always in need, to a person who is generous, a tither and a giver to those in need. If you are sick, see yourself healed, not only that, see yourself laying hands on the sick in the name of Jesus, and seeing them healed and restored. And the bottom line, forgive your enemies and walk in Love.
As you do, those promises of God will become real to you, your image of yourself will change and your faith will begin to grow and increase. Just make a quality decision to keep meditating on the word on a consistent basis, eventually your mind will become transformed into the right image by the power of the Holy Spirit, and you will begin to see the manifestation of those promises in your life! Brothers and Sisters let us be encouraged in knowing that, no matter how difficult the circumstances confronting us, God is for us and His arm is not short to save us!
I’m praying for you! God bless you!
