You Will Make It

Happy New Year!!!

“Jesus said to him,“If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” (Mark 9:23)

It’s good to be back after the Christmas break. I hope your festive season was filled with blessings and beautiful memories. Personally for me, it was wonderful to take time out and travel down to spend some quality time with my family living in the south of the United Kingdom.

I’m absolutely thrilled to share this post with you today. Let me take this opportunity to congratulate you for making it into another year! I thank God for His grace that sustained you in 2013 and brought you through into another year and a new season in your life.

Like many, you probably have been taking time to reflect on last year’s achievements and also, things that didn’t go as planned. And maybe now like most of us, you have set new goals to accomplish in this new year of 2014. I want to take this opportunity to encourage you to believe in your dream. Believe in yourself. Jesus said to him “who believes” all things are possible.

In general, with many people, the problem is not so much as not having dreams for their lives. But what often sets us back is doubt and unbelief in ourselves. Especially when we are surrounded by negative environment and when we encounter obstacles. A large percentage of people most times, subconsciously, give in to the negative voices and images challenging and confronting them from moving forward. But if in moments like this we bring God into the equation, allowing God’s word to shape our perceptive and asking God for help we will witness a miracle.

Miracle by definition is something that can not be explained by logic reasoning. It is beyond the natural world we live in, it is supernatural. God is a supernatural God and He specialises in doing the impossible. No matter how difficult and impossible the situation, God can usher in a turn around. When God steps into an impossible situation, it becomes possible!

Let me encourage you today that no matter how dark the situation looks in the world, as Christians what we need to do is to, switch on the Light to dispel the darkness. The bible says we are the light of the world. We are the light of the World because Jesus is Lord over everything and He lives in us.

For the sake of practicality, how do you turn on the light when you are confronted with dark and gloomy situation, evil medical report, home repossession, difficult family circumstances and others? Take a look at what Jesus says about it

“23 At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name. 24You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.” (John 16:23-24)

We have a choice, we can give God the opportunity of turning our impossible situations to possibility by asking God for what we need in the name of Jesus! Let us hold on by faith to the word of God in every area of life, because for God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think.

I pray that you will allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you into every good and perfect will of God for your life in this Year. I pray that you prosper spiritually , emotionally, physically and financially. And may the Lord keep you and preserver you from all evil. Have a blessed and prosperous year in Jesus name!
