The Battle Is Not Yours, It’s God’s

“And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir who had come against Judah, and they were [self-] slaughtered.” (2 Chronicles 20:22)

God is in complete control of the heavens and earth, who can stop His plan or challenge His power? None! No doubt, simply put, spiritual warfare is war, and the devil will bring the battle to our door steps sometimes, but all the forces of hell put together, cannot hold back God’s promises for you and me from coming to pass if we are willing to hold fast to God’s word, and stand our ground in God’s strength against the devices of the Satan.

When we find ourselves ย overwhelmed in the midst of impossible circumstances, the story of Jehoshaphat is an example we can take courage from to help us keep our eyes on God and our feet on the devil’s neck. In 2 Chronicles 20:1-22, the devil brought a massive attack against king Jehoshaphat, the enemy’s forces were well prepared, vast in size and strength and convinced of their victory over Judah.

Feeling the heat of the battle… Yet, King Jehoshaphat was more at awe about the power and the majesty of God, than that of his enemies. Humbling himself before God in fasting was his total denial of his natural strength, and his military resources for his total dependence on God. It is natural to feel fear when confronted with impossible situation, but the choice we make is a reflection of what we are made of on the inside. Anybody can hold it together when the sea is calm but true strength of character is seen in the storm.

Jehoshaphat felt fear, but he made a choice to turn the wheel against the enemy through his ‘Sacrifice of Praise.’ Praise is a powerful weapon of warfare that confuses and blinds the forces of darkness. When the devil has done his worst to knock you down and out, but you remain defiant in humility before the Almighty God and choose to give Jehovah a sacrifice of praise, the devil goes into a whirlwind of confusion and has to flee!

When Jehoshaphat put his faith into action through praising and worshipping God. The Bible says that, God set ambushes against the vast army confronting Judah and they were smitten! Has the devil brought the battle to your door step in your personal circumstances. Beloved, when you humble yourself before God and put God on the thrown over your impossible circumstances with your sacrifice of praise, know that, you have just turned the wheel against the devil and opened the door for God to step in on the screen and fight your battle.

Prayer Confession:Dear Heavenly Father, I exalt your name. The whole of creation respond to the mention of your holy name. I bow in awe of your majesty. I proclaim you are alone are worthy of my praise. Thank you for your Spirit that lives in me. You are always with me. And I am victorious over every assault of the wicked one. In Jesus name I take authority over fear I command you to get out of my life! I declare that the terror of the night, the arrow that fly by the day, the pestilence that walks in darkness and the destruction of the noonday will not come near me and my family. I plead the blood of Jesus over my life. The joy of the Lord is my portion forever. The battle belongs to God as I walk in the strength of Christ. I am more than a conquer for the greater one lives in me. Thank you lord for your convent of peace and protection. I worship you with the fruit of my lips. Father let my songs of praise come to you as a sweet smelling sacrifice, acceptable and well pleasing to you in Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection: "Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, 10 That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee [b]should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth." (Philippians 2:9-10).

I’ve been thinking of switching to WordPress.org for quite some time now and have yet to make the switch. Was it worth the switch? What are the pros and cons? Sorry, for asking so many questions, I’m just curious to know the difference.

May you also have a wonderful weekend ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Deborah! That’s no trouble at, it’s my pleasure ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, the primary reason for moving was because I found wordpress.com constraining. I wanted to have the freedom to do as i wish with my blog. And i must say the initial move was a challenging, because as you probably know, you have to set up everything yourself. That, coupled with the fact that I have very little knowledge of making anything technical work ๐Ÿ™‚ But then, I find the wordpress.org community forum very helpful in that repect. Poelpe are generally willing to respond with suggestions and tips about plugins and technical stuff if you post questions on the forum. And also my hosting company, Blue Host have been good as well on technical matter.

Personally for me it has been worth it, even though it was initially challenging to get things up and running, but thank God, the challenges somehow have pushed me to learn gradually how to make things work, and I’m still on that learning curve, but I do have the freedom to plan and choose what i want to do with my site. And to connect with any third party of my choice. So are you still thinking of switching over? Please Feel free to let me know if there is anyway I can help.

And I’m having wonderful sunny day here, Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you so much for answering sis. I will still think about it, I’m lazy I guess lol. So it’s challenging at first but worth it, sounds like it’s a good switch ๐Ÿ™‚
Glad you are having sunny days where you live, I’m also enjoying the sun. Thank you for answering my questions. <3
