“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 2:5 NKJV)
Faith gives us access into the spiritual promises of God, the wonderful plans of God for His children. Faith creates the future but it has to start with the Word. This is God’s process as well. God created the universe through the Word by Faith. We see this in Genesis at creation and all though the Bible we see God use the same pattern to bring transformation.
Gods Way’s Of Living In This World
Even now, God is still the same He has not changed and this is the way God wants us to live as well. Abraham became the father of Faith by living this way. The Bible tell us, Abraham discovered that God is a God that calls things that are not, into existence by faith. (Romans 4:17). As such, by faith and being obedient to God, Abraham was able to unlock God’s promises. By which, he was able fulfil God’s plan for His life.
“Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” (Romans 4:3)
As believers we are not subjected to the devil. Jesus has set us free from sin and every bit of the curse – Poverty, all physical sicknesses and diseases, mental and emotional afflictions, turmoil and every kind of pain and oppression afflicting the human race. (Colossians 1:13). Being born again we have become a New Creation. (2 Corinthians 5:17). The new creation is a new person, a new nature in the likeness of Jesus Christ. “In this world we are like Jesus.” (1 John 4:17;1 John 3:2-3).
As Christ is, so are we in this present world. Even, with the pandemic outbreak and the troubles of this world. We are in this world but we are not of this world. Jesus already prayed this for us. He asked the Father to set us apart and preserve us from the evil one in this world.
“I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your Word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. (John 17:14-17)
Know Who You Are And Walk In The Spirit
As the Father sent Jesus into this world, and He lived on the earth but He was not of this world, so also should it be with us as believers. And just as Jesus went about doing good and delivering those under demonic oppression by the power of the Holy Spirit so also should we be doing in this world. (Acts 10:38; Luke 10:19)
The Life Jesus lived is what we are suppose to live and do the same work He did, and even greater. (John 14:12). We are called to be a representative of Jesus Christ, demonstrating His love and kindness to others around us.
As a new creation, the Kingdom of God is already in you – all the power of Christ resides in a believer. Instead of depending on the world system and being subjected to the world’s problem we are suppose to live from the inside out.
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:1-2 NKJV).
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. (Galatians 5:16-18 NKJV)
We are suppose to draw from the WORD of God and trust the guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT for solution to the problems we face in this world. We are to look at our circumstances through the lenses of God’s Word and be obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
God Will Provide All Your Needs
As His people, God doesn’t want us fearful and worrying about our needs. He does not want us depending on this world system which is ruled by Satan. (2 Corinthians 4:4) Rather, God wants us to trust Him to supply all our needs according to His glorious riches in Christ. (Philippians 4:19). God knows what we need even before we ask and like a good Father He wants to provide for us.
Faith opens the door for the blessings of God to flow into our lives but fear is a doorway for the enemy to create a disastrous future if we don’t guard against it. God has already given us all that we will ever need in life in His Word. (2 Peter 1:3-4). This is why we must constantly renew our minds with God’s promises so that we can know God’s will and live a life pleasing to Him.
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:1-2)
Use Your Gifts and Fulfil Your Calling
The most important goal of a Christian who really knows God should be, to please Him. Even Jesus did not live to please Himself. He gave up His position in heaven to become a servant and ultimately gave His life for our salvation. (Philippians 2:7-9). The power to live an overcoming life like Jesus, like Abraham, like the Saints in the Scriptures is living to please God. This is how we can Glorify God with our lives in this world.
I encourage you today, to take a stand for the kingdom of God through your life by renewing your mind with the Word of God – The Unchanging Truth. Become the standard, fulfil the purpose for which God created and sent you into this world for such a time as this. Beloved take heart, for today God says to you, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9).
I pray, may the good Lord straighten you by His power to live for His glory, fulfilling His good plans and purpose for your life. Amen.
What are some of the reasons you have not being able to use the gifts God has given you? What are the Actions God wants you to take now?
