Growing in Faith

never-give-up

“Then he said, “Don’t be frightened, Daniel, for your request has been heard in heaven and was answered the very first day you began to fast before the Lord and pray for understanding; that very day I was sent here to meet you. 13 But for twenty-one days the mighty Evil Spirit[a] who overrules the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the top officers of the heavenly army, came to help me, so that I was able to break through these spirit rulers of Persia.” (Daniel 10:12-13)

The life of Daniel is a great example of the Supernatural power of God in the life of any body who is committed to holding on to the word of God no matter how difficult it looks in the natural!

In the Bible passage above, Daniel had set himself apart to fast and pray. Twenty one days into his fast, there was nothing to indicate that God was listening to Daniel, but Daniel refused to give up on God, holding on to his faith he kept pressing “the battle” in the spirit . And sure enough today on this side of this story we know what was going on behind the scenes then. The angel told Daniel the very first day Daniel prayed God sent the answer but there was a resistance in the spirit realm. Thank God that Daniel knew better than to give up!

Daniel was a young man of deep convictions. He knew and understood the ways of God. Even as a young man, he knew the importance of remaining pure and undefiled. He lived in an environment that was polluted with pagan practices and idolatry worship, yet Daniel made the quality decision to set himself apart for God (Daniel 1:8). And because of his love for God and commitment to purity, God worked extra ordinary miracles in his life:

– God gave him favor in a foreign land, raised him from the dust (as a slave)to seat with the princes of the earth

– God gave him supernatural revelation about the king’s business- God told Daniel the king’s dream without him having prior knowledge of the dream and God also gave him the ability to interpret it.

-God shut the mouth of lions for him and delivered his enemies into the trap they set for him

-God gave him the ability to see unto The End-times events- our world today and unfolding events of what is yet to come in the last days.

-And God did much more….Daniel was made great in the eyes of the kings and fellow men. The supernatural miracles that occurred in Daniel’s life were recognized as the handiwork of the God of heavens and earth

Okay, let me encourage you with Daniels life. Don’t calculate based on where you are today. If you are believing God for a miracle in your finances, physical body, family, emotional circumstances or any problem at all. Don’t let Satan fool you that it’s not working. From the Bible passage shared above, the story of Daniel shows how the enemy can try to block or delay our answer. The devil will use every means possible but you must be relentless in your determination to receive your breakthrough.

My brother, my sister, hold on to that promise of God. Keep yourself strong in the Word by meditating and speaking the Word. As you do, know that God is working behind the scene for you. Your miracle is on the way!

“But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].” (Hebrews 11:6)

God bless you 🙂

Love,

Shade
