Growing in Faith

“I will open rivers on the bare heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.” (Isaiah 41:18).

Are you going through a wilderness experience? If you are, you don’t have to get stuck, you can create your way out with your tongue. You can turn your wilderness into a pool of water with your own mouth. The bible says we are created in the image of God and in His likeness. And so we are imitators of God. (Ephesians 5:1). That means we are to imitate God, our heavenly Father. Just like well loved children imitate their earthly father. Abraham the father of faith, is a good example to us all, he demonstrated the principle of imitating God when he simply obeyed God, by agreeing with what God said about him. God changed his name from Abram to Abraham, meaning, the father of many nations. (Genesis 17:5).

Abraham’s situation looked dead in the natural, it didn’t look possible at all. Abraham and his wife, Sarah, were pass child bearing age (Romans 4:19). But Abraham believed God and started to confess the promise with his mouth. He believed because he knew that God is the creator and has the power to command things into existence. (Genesis 1:3). And of course, as we all know it today, Abraham’s story is History! Abraham is the father of us who believe in Jesus Christ today. Exactly what God called him! Abraham believed God and used his mouth to change history, not just his own history but destiny of the nations! God has given you the ability to change or create your history with your own mouth. Like Abraham, If you want a change, start declaring your change with your mouth . With man this is impossible but with God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26).

Prayer Confession: Heavenly Father, I thank you for who you are in my life. You are a faithful God, who never leaves nor forsake His children. The Lord is my strength and my helper, I will not fear no one. The weapons of evil shall not prosper over my finances, health, family and in any area of my life. I condemn every evil report speaking against the will of God for my life. I refuse to get stuck and die in the wilderness of life in Jesus name. My God will make a way out for me. I choose to embrace the Word of the Lord consigning my life. I confess life, favour, supernatural increase and progress. I’m blessed and highly favoured . My head is anointed for testimony, to bless and to proclaimed liberty to the captives every I go. In Jesus Name.

Reference: "So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it, whether or not we live according to the law of Moses, if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe. 17 That is what the Scriptures mean when God told him, “I have made you the father of many nations.” This happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing." (Romans 4:16-17).

Hi Sade! I think it’s so true that God doesn’t want us in the wilderness any more than we do. He may allow us to stay there for a while, but only so we can gain the strength needed to get out of it, and serve him in an even stronger way.

Saying ‘yes’ to him and speaking over ourselves words of release are such powerful tools, and really, our only tools. The rest is up to the grace of out God. But…we can’t ever reduce the importance of our ‘yes.’ God needs people who will say yes to him, just like Abraham. It may look impossible, but nothing is with God.

    Have a great Friday 🙂

Hi Ceil! I’m totally in agreement with you, ‘Yes’ is the crucial word. God has got everything worked out before we were conceived or even before He laid the foundation of the world. It may look impossible in the natural, but with God it is always possible as long it’s in agreement with His Word. Thank you for your brilliant contribution!

Happy Sunday to you and have a Great week 🙂
