Growing in Faith

“Drink from the brook and eat what the ravens bring you, for I have commanded them to bring you food.” (1 Kings 17:4).

As a child of God how do you respond to crisis? Do you go into panic mood? Do you find yourself thinking “Will God come through for me in this situation?” In 1 Kings 17:1-6, Elijah was facing a life and death situation. God had closed the heavens over the nation of Israel because of their sin and now the nation was facing a famine. In Elijah’s case, his instant reaction was to deal with the crisis immediately by taking his eyes off his natural means and resources.  He immediately placed his eyes on God’s supernatural ability to supply him with what ever he needed to overcome the crisis. And the Lord told him where to go, by so doing, Elijah he was able to tap into God’s supernatural resources in the time of need. Because of his obedience to the Word from God, Elijah was able to supernaturally ride through the storm.

When we face urgent needs and impossible circumstances if we look at the situation we will quickly be discouraged, doubt will set in and before long, we will begin to question God. However, if we turn to God for help, we will find a present help in the comforting arms of Jesus Christ, who has promised never to leave or abandon us. And He has never lost a battle. Beloved, go to God for  a word for that crisis in your life today. A Word from God is all you need to start the process to your victory. Stop seeing yourself as a looser because Jesus already fought and won the battle for you. Take God at his Word today and begin to walk by faith in His Word one step at a time. The Lord is on your side walking you through step by step.

Prayer Confession:Thank you Father that Your Word is Spirit and Life. Your Word is a lamp to my feet and light to my path. I repent of doing things my own way instead of seeking your counsel. I turn to You, and now ask for your divine wisdom and intervention in my situation. Thank you Lord for making a way for me. In Jesus name I speak life to my my spirit , soul and body. I shall not die but live to declare the works of the Lord. I declare It is well with my finances. I speak peace over the storm in my life and family. The Word of God is supernatural and it is my solution. By faith I confess that lines will begin to fall for me in pleasant places as I begin to walk by faith step by step. I  am favored and I have a testimony. In Jesus Name. Amen!

Reflection:"But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere." ( 2 Corinthians 2:14).
