Living The Blessed Life

Growing in Faith

1 Jul

goodthinking-0546

“For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].” (Philippians 4:8).

As born again believers in Jesus Christ, the Bible says that everything we need is already in us. (Ephesians 1:3). The Divine Life is in our New Nature. The Holy Spirit lives in us. So when the Blessing is not working for us, the problem is not with God. We just need to learn how to manifest the blessed life inside us. I remember years ago, the Lord asked me, “Shade how do you manifest the blessings of God?” As I was still thinking of how to reply, the Lord said, “Thinking Good Thoughts”. To tell you the truth, at the time, I thought to myself, “That’s is not a very spiritual answer!” The Lord then lead me to Philippians 4.

After studying that passage, especially verses 4-9, I understood what Apostle Paul was trying to get across. I realised in most cases, many of us miss out on the Glorious Life inside us because of wrong thinking. Even though, we PRAY about our dilemmas, but after praying many of us keep thinking the problem. We keep our focus so locked on what is not working and why it’s not possible, until they become like giants before us, that we become terrified of moving forward. This is the trap of the devil because whatever controls our mind will control our life. The Bible says, as a man think’s so is he. (Proverbs 23:7).

Dear friend, If we are constantly giving in to how we feel we will miss out on God’s best for us. The Book of Hebrews says without faith we cannot receive from God. (Hebrews 11:6). We have to learn to depend on God. Even when we cannot not see a sign of the thing we are believing God for in His Word with our physical eyes, we need not fret. But believe that God is a rewarder of those who seek after Him.There is nothing on the outside that can stop God’s plan coming to pass in your life if you don’t stop yourself. “If you think you can, you can, if you think you can’t, you can’t.” (Henry Ford).

Prayer Confession: Father thank you that I am already blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. And you hear me when I pray in agreement with your Word. As I renew my mind and meditate on the Word I will walk in the blessings of God. I refuse to accommodation stinking thinking. No more negative thoughts of fear and anxiety in Jesus Name. My mind is renewed with the Word of God to think noble, worthy and excellent thoughts. I cast all my cares on the Lord. I walk by faith and not by sight. Greater is the Holy Spirit living in me than the devil that is in the world. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. My finances, health, family and my future is blessed. I am living in the blessed zone. I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me and my life is a blessing to the world. In Jesus Name. Amen!

Reflection:"I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am [self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency]." Philippians 4:13).

You were dead on when in comes to faith. It is easy to say you have faith, but it is hard to have faith in things that God has told you and they have not come to pass yet. It is so easy to get discouraged, loose faith, and think negative thoughts. But this process is really counterproductive and may be keeping your prayers from getting answered.
