“May the Lord give you increase more and more, you and your children.” (Psalm 115:14).
The Lord by nature is a God of increase and multiplication. The divine life by default is naturally a fruitful life. It is a life that thrives in the midst of all odds. The supernatural life of God cannot be boxed in by any means or circumstances. And so when you become one with God by the virtue of covenant relationship, the power of increase is set in motion in your life as well.
As Abraham remained obedient to God, the Lord established and increased him more and more in the fruit of his body, material possession, status and most the important, he was spiritually blessed, he became the spiritual father of the nations. God deals with His people on the basis of covenant, the bible says of the children of Israel, that they grew and increase in number that pharaoh became so fearful and tried to hold them back. But the more they were afflicted, the more they grew and multiplied.
Similarly Jacob, with all his mistakes, personal struggles and the host of adversaries set against him, the Lord kept his hand upon his life. Jacob grew more and more until he became a mighty nation. All through the new testament, as much as the Church of Jesus Christ was persecuted, instead of decreasing, the Church thrived and multiplied. Today the Church has expanded and filled the four corners of the earth, just as the Lord promised Abraham. (Genesis 22:18).
In John 15:1-2, Jesus said He is the vine and we are His branches. That means, we are connected to that ever thriving and fruitful life. We are predestined to be fruitful and bear good fruits. It’s impossible to remain barren when you are connected to the true vine. God wants you to have good success in life. (Joshua 1:8). Don’t let the devil throw you off-balance with the gloomy picture he is painting in your mind about your situation. Remember that your covenant relationship with God carries a supernatural power that cannot be boxed in by any force.
Prayer Confession: Thank you Father that I am connected to the true vine, Jesus Christ. I am ordained for a fruitful life. It is impossible for my life to be barren. I curse every spiritual, physical and generational seed of barrenness in me. I am a new creation in Christ and i have the supernatural life of God in me. I am like a tree planted by the rivers. As such, I am ever thriving and productive in every good work I set my hand to do. The fruit of my body is blessed and exceedingly fruitful. My destiny and everything connected to me shall blossom and flourish with the glory of God. In Jesus name. Amen.
Reflection: “I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).
