Activating Your Faith

And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road.” (Mark 10:52).

The Bible is full of people who reached out to God in need of a miracle and got blessed. The story of Bartimaeus is one them. (Mark 10:46-52). You can see from this story how important it is that we activate our faith. Blind Bartimaeus’ case was impossible in the natural, but  he must have heard about the ministry of Jesus and how others got their miracles. He also wished to get healed. But how? where? when? Jesus was the biggest ministry in town, everywhere He went thousands followed Him.

Then, on this day his moment came! Jesus was passing Bartimaeus’ way! And he tried….but, as hopeless and helpless as his situation was, no one offered help. Not even the disciples of Jesus gave him any hope, instead, he was pushed back, humiliated and told to shut up! But Bartimaeus knew that, just believing and wishing alone was not going to give him his sight. He must do something… He must press forward by activating his faith!

This dusty blind poor beggar was hard pressed on every side, yet, he refused to give up! This was his moment, nobody and no devil from hell was going to steal his blessing! Blind Bartimaeus did not focus on what was wrong, what the naysayers were saying about him or what he didn’t have. He knew he had one thing, A Voice! And boy, he used it! And he got Jesus’ attention! God stopped everything for Bartimaeus. Faith always get God’s attention. My friend what about you? What can you do to activate your miracle process? Activate your faith with what you have and let God do the impossible for you!

Prayer Confession: Father I thank you for the privilege I have as your child and joint heir with Jesus Christ. You are my firm foundation. Your Word is your will for my life. Lord forgive me of any disobedience against your will. Guide me to walk in truth before you in all my ways. Let your Word impart my spirit, soul and body and transform me into who you have called me to be from my mother’s worm. I plead the blood of Jesus over my life. I shut every wrong door in my life in Jesus name. I shall live and not die. I command every mountain obstructing me be cast into the sea now. Miracles are children’s bread and I receive my deliverance from every affliction against my body, family, finances and life today by faith in Jesus Name. Amen!

Reflection: "And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him." (Hebrews 11:6).
