Growing in Faith

19 Dec

possible

Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. (Romans 12:2)

We live in a very negative world. Evil reports spread and sell faster than good news. It is very easy to go along with the flow, thinking and speaking like “Joe Bloggs” around us at the work place, living down the road from us, and even attending the same Church with us. Just trying to fit into the mould and conform to this world standard.

But, God tells us that we are not of this world, the Bible says we have been redeemed from the old nature which is under the curse. We are now in Christ and belonging to the higher realm (Gal 3).  So, to continue to think like the world thinks any more is bringing ourselves under the bondage of sin and the curse again!

The fact of the matter is that,  God does not see us in the flesh anymore once we have accepted Jesus Christ as saviour. God sees us in the Spirit through the perfect blood of Jesus Christ. So when God speaks to us,  He speaks to the New Creation in us. (2 Corinthians 5:17).  And now, we must renew our mind to that fact. Not thinking poverty and lack, sickness, anxiety, fear and evil report but thinking the abundant life, health, provision, peace and grace of God in very area of our life!

Do you know that the re-created you, who is in Christ is so big that it can house God Almighty – El Shaddai , the God that is more than Enough? Just think about that for a moment!

It’s time we wake up to who we are and give God the opportunity to manifest His abundant life through us by  believing well and speaking well in every area of life. If you continue to see yourself in the flesh, or reason with the mindset of this world you will continue to see your past mistakes and failures, weaknesses, limitations and impossibilities. But confidence will come when the mind is renewed to who you are in Christ, it will flow over into how you speak and as you confess the Word of God your faith will begin to rise!

The bible says that we are imitators of God, calling things that be not as though they are, meaning God’s ability to create what is not in existence is also in us! God is in us isn’t He ? So why focus on the negative things and evil reports?  Because  if we are always focusing on our feelings or peoples’ opinion of us we will never walk in that realm of grace!

As this year is already coming to a close, make a quality decision to make it your goal for 2014 that, no matter what, you will believe well and speak well in every area of your life!

Praying God’s blessings upon you in this special season.
