The Power of Blood Covenant

Growing in Faith

11 Sep

thebloodcovenant-322

“My covenant will I not break or profane, nor alter the thing that is gone out of My lips.” (Psalm 89:34).

Do you know that God has a destiny for you? Do you know that God has positioned you for victory  in His Word?

The first generation of the Jewish people got delivered from Egyptian slavery, and got to the edge of their promise land but could not possess their spiritual destiny because of unbelief. They could not take God at His Word. They did not understand the power of their covenant relationship with God.

The Bible is a Book of covenant from Genesis to Revelation. We have the Old Testament and New Testament. Testament means Covenant.

Blood covenant dates back to time immemorial. But in Western civilisation blood covenant has been replaced with ink (legal agreement). And covenant has lost its original meaning and purpose. In Genesis God entered into Covenant with Abraham and through that covenant union salvation came to the entire human race through Jesus Christ!

The Bible tells us in very clear terms that, God is a covenant keeping God.  And in other for us to understand the depth of God’s commitment to us, and to enjoy the benefits of our covenant relationship we need knowledge of covenant in its original meaning. And it’s implications on those in a covenant relationship.

Without a revelation of blood covenant we will not be able to grasp the depth of God’s integrity and His unwavering commitment to His promises in the Bible. But when we understand the powerful meaning behind blood covenant relationship, it will impact every area of our lives.

The revelation will help you to renew your mind to receive the healing you need, it will give you the confidence to expect God to meet your financial needs. It will provide strength  and covering in your marriage and family. This understanding will stop the devil stealing your peace of mind from enjoying your covenant benefits.

For this reason, in the next two posts, I will share more on the power of our Blood covenant relationship with the Lord.

In closing, my friend be encouraged today because God has a good plan for you, and He wants you to move forward into your promised land. Jesus wants you to possess what is yours consigning  your  business, health,  family and future by taking hold of His Word. God is faithful and  cannot lie. What ever He has promised to do in the Word, He is also able to perform it.

Prayer Confession: Father you are a faithful God who keeps covenant.  Forever your word is settled in heavens. Thank you that you have a good plan for my life. Lord draw me closer in my covenant walk with You. I believe your promises for my life are true. I refuse to walk in doubt and fear in my circumstances. The Lord is the  pillar that holds my life. I will walk by faith and not by sight. Through Christ all my needs are met and I can accomplish God’s plan for my life. By the covenant blood of Christ I have the victory in every area of my life. In Jesus Name. Amen!

Reflection:  Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven [stands firm as the heavens].(Psalm 119:89).
