Growing in Faith

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11).

Today I will like to ask you to stop for a moment and take a  look at the challenging circumstances you are facing, and sincerely ask yourself,  “Do I really believe something good is about to happen in this situation?” If your answer is “No.” Then I will encourage you to release the Word of God to work in that situation. Expecting something good to happen for you is not presumptuous at all. It is very clear from the Word that our heavenly Father is a good and loving God who seeks the best for His children. He won’t give us stone for bread. He wants us to ask for what we need. ( Luke 11:11-13). Hebrews 4:16 says we can come boldly to the throne of grace for whatever we need as along as we are in-line with what God has already promised us in His Word.

But then as we come to God, we are expected to come in Faith. Meaning you have to deal with God on the basis of who God is. God is a supernatural God. That tells us that He is beyond any power of nature. He cannot be limited by any law of nature because He created them. God can cause the axe to swim and float on water.( 2 kings 6:1-6). God can close or open the heavens. (1 kings 17-18). He can multiply 5 loaves and 2 fishes to feed 5000 and more. (Matthew 14:15-21). He can suspend time. (Joshua 10:12). God can easily heal a sick body and with the same ease call the dead back to life from the grave. (Matthew 8:13, John 11:41-44). God is a supernatural God and can easily defile any law of nature at any time. It is time to stop looking at that situation from the natural realm, from today start believing and confessing what God says about you.

Prayer Confession: Heavenly Father, I praise your holy name. The heavens, earth and all of creations sing of your goodness. You are bigger than life itself and I am forever grateful that I can trust and rejoice in your goodness. I exalt you and declare you are bigger than every one of my challenges. Thank you that I can come boldly to you in the name of Jesus to ask for my needs. You have redeemed my life from the pit of sickness, diseases and emotional afflictions. You have set me free from financial lack, family troubles and all the negative forces of darkness working against me. Thank you Lord that as I continue to walk by faith in obedience to your Word, I shall see your goodness at work in my circumstances. I believe that all things shall work together for my good. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Reflection: "I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living.14 Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!" (Psalm 27:13-14).
