Enjoying The LIFE of Wholeness

Growing in Faith

21 Apr

life

“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” (John  10:10)

Jesus came 2000 years ago to give us abundant life. His own life. And He successfully did that by the shedding of His Blood. So the Life God is already in you and I, the Kingdom of Heaven is already in us by faith in Jesus Christ. But then, even though the life of God is us, if we fail to make the word of God an integral part of our life or continue to walk in willful disobedience to God by disobeying His Word the Scripture tells us we are not abiding  in Christ. (1 John 3:24)

Keeping God’s commandment is the first requirement in becoming one with God. To walk with God continually we must give attention to His word.

“My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. 21 Don’t lose sight of them.Let them penetrate deep into your heart,22 for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body.” (Proverb 4:20-22).

The secret of living a victorious life that reflects the power and Presence of God is by learning to abide in Christ. This is the place you and I can dwell and no devil in hell can find us! In this place, no schemes of man or demon can prevail against us! Let us give utmost importance to our relationship with the Lord. Beloved, allow the Word of God to abide in you. As you abide in Christ through prayer and making the word of God first priority in your life. You will be strengthened spiritually and you will build a protective edge over your life and your family against the attacks of the enemy.

Prayer Confession:
Thank you Lord for showing me the way of life. This you have laid down for me in your word. I have the ability to function like You as i abide in Your word. Sound wisdom is in Your word. By Your Word You framed the heavens and earth. Help me to live by Your word daily. Make me a person after Your own heart. Release on me the grace to fulfill Your plan for my life. I command every spirit of disobedience and rebellion to be gone from me. Jesus is my Lord and I am preserved from my enemies. No plot of wickedness shall prevail against my life and family. I am empowered to leap over limitation walls erected against me. The Lord is my Rock, fortress and deliverer, surrounding me with protection and always making a way for me. The Heart of Christ is in me, I am a champion in life! In Jesus name. Amen!

Reflection: "Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us." (John 3:24)

That’s an old hymn. A lot of young folks you come into contact with would rather hear the modern songs. The hymns have a deeper impact with me. Keep seeking after the things of God. vw
