God Has Made The Way

Growing in Faith

the-way

“In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins.” (1 John 4:10)

In Genesis Adam committed high treason, he turned his back on God and joined forces with Satan, as a result he gave the devil the liberty to afflict mankind with sickness, poverty diseases and destruction. God should have said “Well it’s your choice Adam, brace yourself and live with the consequences of your decision.” But, He didn’t do that, rather, the God who created the heavens, the earth, all that is and all that is yet to be, humbled Himself to man and He came looking for Adam. He covered their nakedness with animal skin reaching out to mankind in love!

The Gift – A Love Beyond Imagination
And while we were still lost in sin, living in rebellion, rejecting God, He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ to receive the punishment and judgement for the sins of mankind so that anyone who believes in Him will not perish but receive pardon and the gift of eternal life – The very life of God, An abundant life. What an Amazing Love! The message is clear; God has demonstrated His great and limitless love to you and I, His love has plunged into the very depth of death and hell to deliver us from Satan’s paws.

Today let me encourage your heart with this, no matter what kind of life you may have lived or the sins you may have committed, all you need is, to turn from sin and run into God’s arms, they are wide open for you to come into His embrace and be restored to oneness with Him as your heavenly Father. His love is deeper than how far you may have fallen and wider that any love you will ever know. You are so precious to Him,  the Lord has made a way for you and now the choice is yours.

Prayer Confession:
Heavenly Father thank you for making a way for me to be restored to you. I turn from sin and I embrace the gift of your salvation by faith. Jesus be my Lord. I no longer live but Jesus Christ lives  through me. Thank you for opening doors of opportunities for me to be a blessing to my world as Christ is revealed through my life. I vow to give you all the glory. In Jesus name I ask. Amen.

Reflection:"Therefore, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit."  (Romans 8:1)

I just saw something jump out at me: many people use the first part of that verse, Therefore, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus”
and don’t consider the remainder of the verse “who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.”

that’s pretty dangerous. Can’t use one part without seeing what the other part says. Thanks for the reminder. vw
